Coaches Training

This high energy training is for new and experienced coaches interested in concrete coaching tools. Participants learn to engage young athletes in smooth, engaging and challenging practices.

Female Coaches Training

This two-day series gives women the tools to develop their coaching skills and advocate for themselves in a supportive all female environment. Part one of this series focuses on coaching skills while part two explores the different challenges women face in the coaching world.

Girls in the Game: Supporting Girls Through Powerful Sports Programs

If a girl doesn't participate in sports by the time she is ten years old, there is only a 10% chance she will participate when she is twenty-five. (Linda Bunker, Universiry of Virginia, 1989). Given this, it is critical we work to get girls in the game.  Toward this end, this workshop provides participants successful recruitment strategies for getting girls into sports.

Raising Boys Through Sports: Positive Programs for Boys

Did you know that 80% of boys ages 7-18 participate in sports? With this many boys playing sports, coaches have an opportunity to play a huge role in the health and well-being of these boys. This training, geared towards program directors and coaches, explores how to lead sports that help boys grow into good athletes, good men and good citizens.

Positive Behavior Management

This training gives participants the tools necessary for smooth running practices where the youth are engaged, having fun, and reaching their full potential.  It explores how to use effective, positive group dynamics and relationships as preventative strategies as well as provides strategies for interrupting and responding to challenging behavioral situations when they arise.

Recruiting, Retaining and Supporting Coaches: A Supervisors' Workshop

One of the biggest challenges programs face is recruiting and retaining coaches. This training helps leaders identify the particular coaching needs of their program, provides recruitment strategies for finding these coaches, and explores ways that supervisors and directors can actively support and develop their coaching staff.
