Team-Up for Youth is working to create a vibrant youth sports landscape where sports programs in low-income neighborhoods are abundant and accessible. In our vision, every young person in the Bay Area has an opportunity to play; sports are recognized as a way to help children grow to their full potential; and community-based sports programs have the resources they need to thrive.

Team-Up's most significant policy work has centered on advocating for gender equity in youth sports and using after-school sports as a prevention strategy for childhood obesity. Learn more about the State hearing on childhood obesity that took place on February 8, 2005. Team-Up is also helping community sports programs access public funding and recreation facilities.
